9 months old, y'all!!!

Just in time to celebrate 9 months of Cooper fabulousness in the big blue nursery chair with Harry Elefonte - we arrived home from Coop's first trip to Texas - yee-haw!!!

Here he is in his Texas T-shirt and Cowboy boots, and wrangling a horsey!

Cooper makes lots of cute baby noises.  However, one of his current faves might be a little less-than-cute on occasion.

Happy Friday!

It is Friday, so we are super excited!  We are also super excited that Daddy will be home today, after 2 nights with Mommy, Cooper, and Potter home all alone - (Nana and Pop have jetted off to Indy to play with Vaughn and sniff Gia's sweet little baby head, so no Nana this time around.)

Coop can't wait for daddy to be home so he can share some of his new favorite thing, the baby Mum-mum wafer!

Mmmmmmmm.

Professional Picture Preview

On Saturday we went and got more fabulous pictures of Cooper taken by our friend and photographer Ann (who has been taking pics of Coop since before he was born,) and she posted this preview of the cuteness on FB:

In other news we endured another tummy bug this past weekend, it was a quick mover but a really nasty one none-the less.  Cooper recovered just in time for his mom to get it, and then his dad too - so the whole family got to share in the ick.   :(
Regardless, we are just glad the little dude is feeling well again.  More pro pics will be coming soon!

Some Cooper Cuteness for your Friday

Cooper is starting to boogie!  At school and at home he will get down in his exersaucer if someone else is dancing with him! (which is why you can kind of tell that Mom is getting her groove on off camera.) This was later in the evening, so he only does it a little bit, and then he just wants to "read his book" on his exersaucer - but here's a little Coop for you anyhoo.
Tomorrow we are heading to see our favorite photographer for some new pictures, AND this weekend Cooper is also graduating out of his tiny baby carrier carseat and into a convertable seat!  Big boy!

Coop's first school fundraiser!

Yep, they start 'em early now days!
Actually this year's fundraiser will go towards something Cooper will be using before we know it - the "toddler playground" at his daycare!  (Last year's fundraiser re-did the playground for the bigger kiddos, and it is AWESOME and safe and fun, so we can't wait to see how the new one for the little guys will be.)

Also, the school partners with a fabulous program in Colorado called The Women's Bean Project, which is a very well-known and respected program that aids women in ending the cycle of unemployment and poverty for low income families.  People in Colorado love their soup mixes and baskets for gifts!

Halloween Hijinks continue, AND Coop's new pad

Cooper got a super sweet new play yard thingy, suitable for entertaining other babies, hanging out in a doggie free area, and generally doing his baby thing in style and space!
Here he is sitting up in his bumbo so he can get his hands on one of the awesome toys around the sides:

We also put on his skelleton costume and headed over to a party for a little while on Sunday - most of the other kiddos were a little older, but Coop got lots of love from the moms, like mom's friend Cyndi:

Pumpkin Patch fun!

Coop's school has a little pumpkin patch every year, affectionately known in our house as "Pumpkins for Jesus."
Today he put on his "lil pumpkin" outft from Grandma G and headed over to pick out the family pumpkin!

Coop's tiny baby cold was on the mend when last I posted.  We were so happy - YAY!!!And then he got the stomach bug from hell.
Poor little dude was sick.  Like really unwell.  Like WHOA.
Here he is convalescing in his bunny swing:

And having "observation time" at the doctor's office.  Poor kid, so wiped out.

And right in the middle of all of this, poor Grandma G and The Granddaddy arrived for a visit:

And when you are sick, it is always nice to have an extra cuddle, after all:

After several trips to the doctor, and some very long nights for momma and Coop that made a newborn sleep pattern look downright luxurious, yesterday brought the reemergence of this fabulous sight:

And today when I dropped him off at school, he grabbed Miss Deb in a huge smiley hug and then went right to chatting it up with his buddy in the exersaucers, with barely a second glance at momma. (And she is thrilled that he feels good enough to be his sweet social self again.)
Hopefully we can do some fun, if slightly-more-lowkey stuff with Grandma and Grandpa during the second half of their visit, now that Jr is starting to feel like himself again.  :)

6 month check up!

Another fabulous check up for Cooper!! 

Weight - 16 lbs 1.8 oz

He had another round of shots, including his first flu shot - and cried only long enough for the nurse to get the band-aids on, before he was back to his usual charming self:

6 months old!

Cooper is 6 months old today!
We are in our tiny baby jammies for our pic, because unfortunately Coop is celebrating his 1/2 birthday with a little cold.   :(

More pictures up in the album - Coop got to spend the night at Nana and Pop's house this weekend, and he was a perfect angel (of course.)  I didn't think we were going to get him back!   ;)

We also tried squash for the first time (we've had rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, peas, and squash so far - and liked pretty much all of it!)

We have a roller!!
I knew it was coming yesterday - Coop was SO CLOSE to rolling over from front to back during  morning tummy time, but he was just too tired...
So I had the camera running when I put him down on his blankie in the afternoon, and BAM - insta-roll!
And now he is a rolling pro.

Here is the first roll - I got excited so it isn't super great camera work (but that CAN'T be what you expect from me at this point anyway,):

And here he is doing it again, since now it is Mom's favorite party trick (He even did it on Skype for Nana and Pop today, but he kind of rolled out of the picture - you can't predict which way he will go...):

He just does it on command now - you put him down on his tummy, he checks thing out for like , 10 seconds, and then WOOP, over he goes on to his back.
YAY!!!

The weekend field trips continue!

Off we went to avoid the crowds that decend on Cap Hill every year at Labor Day for The Taste of Colorado - down past LoDo to My Brothers Bar (oldest continuiously operating bar in Denver,) for lunch:

5 months old!

Yesterday we celebrated 5 fabulous months of Cooper!  He is a wiggly little guy now, so here's a few shots from the big blue chair:

Cooper's big day out!

On Saturday we decided to show Cooper some of Denver's fabulous neighborhoods!
We started in Cherry Creek North, for his first trip to the Cricket:

Then walked around Old South Gaylord and stopped for his bottle at Reivers where Dad showed off his less-than-perfect camera skills:

We stopped off in the Platte Park area to window shop on South Pearl - Coop was fabulous all day, even getting in his naps:

He got to check himself out in his Elephant mirror in the car in between stops:

He even got to go and meet Shannon and Rob and their doggies - Shannon introduced Mom and Dad, so she gets some credit for the fabulousness that is Cooper. (Aunt Shannon loved to look at his little tootsies.)   He was pooped after his day of touring Denver!
