2 Month Check Up

Today was Cooper's 2 month check up and he is doing grrrrreat!  He weighed in at 10 lbs 13.2 oz, and measured 1 foot, 11.1 inches long!  He is right on target for developmental milestones (we are getting a few genuine smiles, and starting to sleep slightly longer stretches at night!)

Coop had his first round of shots today, and while I can't say I blame him, I will say he let out a terrible cry and turned a shade of red I have never seen on him.  Poor baby.

Here I am on the table waiting for the doctor to come in:

PS - We protest!

We protest having to go out in this weather to walk Potter-pie!  But alas, a doggie's got business to take care of too, so it's a good thing I've got this jaunty hat (and that the stroller has a GIANT waterproof shield):

Brrrr!

We've had a little cold snap lately - leaving Cooper plenty of opportunity to show off all of the cutie long sleeved outfits he recieved!  Aunt Traci sent this super sweet raccoon onesie with matching hat:

Daddy is out of town bringing home the bacon, so Nana has been staying with us and working all of her baby magic on Coop.  (He is so lucky - first Grandma and Grandpa G came to visit, and now Nana is around to love on him in the evenings!)

Also, Great Aunt Carol came by yesterday to visit and cuddle:
YAY!

Some new video cuteness for you all:

What's up with Cooper?

Cooper is 7 weeks old today!

He celebrated by having a bath and sleeping through "Green Hornet" in its entirety on mom's lap!

He also rocked his super cute long-sleeved monkey onesie since it was cold and rainy:

Grandma and Grandpa G are here!

Grandma and Grandpa arrived on Saturday to meet Cooper, so he got to spend time with all the grandparents over Mothers' Day weekend!

Oh hi Grandma:
And Grandpa ("The Granddaddy," in the tradition of The Ohio State Buckeyes,) has joined the ranks of the papparazzi documenting Cooper's every move with his camera:

Cooper treated them to a demonstration of his vocal prowess on Saturday night, to make sure they felt extra welcome.  :)

We are so happy they are here!

Visiting Nana and Pop!

Today we went to visit Nana and Pop - Cooper's first trip to the town where his Mommy grew up!
Nana made him so cozy that he took a little snooze right there on the floor.  (And then got a bath too - Nana's favorite baby activity!  It was like visiting the day spa.)

Mommy and Aunt Traci used to snooze on this blankie too!
It was a nice visit, and a great way to spend part of Mothers' Day weekend!

What's Cooper been doing?

On Saturday Cooper got some special time with Nana and Pop while Mom and Dad slipped out for a few hours with friends - and of course Nana and Pop couldn't resist treating him to the full spa experience, complete with a bath and one some of Nana's fabulous baby massage.
When we arrrived home he was dressed to kill in this little number, so we all went out to dinner at Lala's (nobody likes to be all dressed up with no place to go, right?):
Very cute!  Cooper wasn't going to sleep through such an exciting outing, so he got a little lap time from just about everyone while we ate.

This is becoming a very welcome site:

as our little guy is struggling with a bit of acid reflux.  :(
We are trying some Zantac to help give him some relief, so hopefully he will be feeling nice and comfy again in no time.
