Underwhelmed on the train

Last weekend we all headed out to take Coop's first ride on a train!
Todd was excited, Keri was excited.

Coop was - uh... semi-lulled to zombie like status.

Motor mouth!

Cooper is doing lots of talking!  At Grandma G's request, some of his best words:

Animal noises he knows (if you ask, what does a _____ say?" or he sees a picture of one)
Sheep = "Baaa"
Cow = "Moooo" (sometimes it still sounds like "maow"
Monkey = "Ooo oo oo"
Horsey = "Neigh"

He is close with Pig ="oink" but not quite, and sometimes he says "bar" when you ask what a dog says, but mostly (for me anyway,) he just squeals "DAW!!!" if he sees a dog or someone says dog. (if Potter barks, he says "NO NO!!!" which does NOT amuse Potter.)

He is still working hard on "Mouth" and "Nose" and "Ears" - both pointing at them on him or you and saying them - and doing pretty well.  :)

He knows lots of things by site when he sees pictures and calls them by name:
Apple (sometimes it sounds like "affle")
Yo-Yo
Bus
Milk (he will head for the fridge to tell you it is time and go "Mil!  MIL!!")
Snack (kind of "sack" but getting closer.)

Bun Bun (his bunny on his changing table)
Whaley-whale (his bath toy - which is "way way" to him right now.)

Elmo (holy moly, he LOVES Elmo!)
Ernie (it is kind of "Err-eeee", but getting better every day.)
Bert ("ber")
Cookie ("oookie")

We are working on Grover, because he has a Super Grover that he loves, but that is a mouthful!

He likes to sing parts of his songs when you sing -
Row Row Row Your Boat = "woah whoa whoa whoa boa...."
Twinkle Twinkle = "Up above"
Old McDonald = "Eeee, eye, eee, eye, oh" and the animal sounds he knows

And he does the motions for The Wheels on the Bus - he is really good at the doors going open and shut and the wipers going swish swish swish ("wish wish wish")

He has perfected Dada and Mama and Nana, and just this week we have had "Pop" too!  (which makes poor Pop very happy - those "P" sounds are tough!) And also "ABBY!!!" his little friend who is neighbors with Nana and Pop.  :)  And OF COURSE "All Done!" (which he tells us often and about everything from eating to riding in the car to playing with a toy.)

I am sure that Nana and his teachers would both say that I missed some, too.  :)
